ABOUT COACH J

I was always the smallest kid growing up. Time after time, I was overlooked until the whistle blew. Size didn’t matter because my heart was always the biggest. I take pride in working harder than everybody else in order to become the best version of myself. As a high school athlete, I didn’t have any offers and decided to give football a rest. In my last 2 years of college, I felt like I’d given up on my dream of playing football. I trained everyday on the field which led to me become a college walk-on at Kennesaw State University. Although I wasn’t awarded an athletic scholarship, I was simply happy to fulfill my dream. I increased my weight from 135 pounds to 175 pounds. At only 175 pounds, I benched 315 pounds, squatted 500 pounds, jumped a 40-inch vertical, and ran a 4.3 in the 40. My first year of playing college football, I played DB and switched to Slot (a year later, 2 years later). With patience, dedication, and tenacity, I was able to work my way into rotation. Unfortunately, I tore my meniscus for the second time during my senior year. I was forced to end my season and have surgery. But this never stopped my love for football— it actually made me love the game more. This is why I train. It’s bigger than just football. I have a story to share with the youth. If I would have given my all to the game of football as an upcoming high schooler, I could have been a recruited and awarded an athletic scholarship. Still, I don’t regret anything I’ve endured throughout the journey to get where I am today because I wouldn’t be a trainer. As a trainer, I will teach you or your future football player how to have a professional mindset and handle business like a man, while still making you/him better at the sport. That’s a guarantee.
